Discussing Technology's Impact on Society 口语 · C1
How has digital technology changed our relationship with truth?"
"To some extent…"

A:How has social media changed the way information spreads?
B:I'd say it's made information spread much faster, but not necessarily more accurately. Everyone can publish something instantly, so there's less time for fact-checking before it reaches a huge audience.
A:Do you think advertising influences your choices?
B:To some extent, yes — even when I think I'm being objective, targeted ads probably shape what I even consider as an option.
A:Is it possible to have completely unbiased news reporting?
B:It seems that complete objectivity is almost impossible, because even choosing what to report on is already a kind of bias. I see what you're saying about fact-based reporting, but I still think framing always plays a role.

I'd say… / My view is that… I'd say technology has made us more connected but less patient."
To some extent, yes/no… To some extent, yes, but it depends on the platform."
It seems that… / This appears to be… It seems that younger audiences trust influencers more than traditional media."
I see what you're saying, but… I see what you're saying, but I think the trend varies by country."
As I see it, … / For me, … As I see it, the bigger issue is who controls the algorithm."
Do you think progress always comes at a cost? Do you think progress always comes at a cost, or can it be win-win?"

"My view is that…")
  • "To some extent…" "It seems that…"
  • 反问句(如 "Do you think progress always comes at a cost?")
