意思等于 although，语气更强、更书面：

意思是「不管我多努力都……」：
- Try as I might, I couldn't open the jar.
- Try as they may, they will never catch up.
宾语/补语前置
口语和文学里，把宾语或补语放到句首做对比或强调：
- That film I'll never forget.（那部电影我永远忘不了。）
- Rich he may be, but happy he is not.（他也许有钱，但他不快乐。）
- This I can promise you.
这种前置没有倒装，只是把成分挪前。
地点/方向前置 + 倒装
地点短语前置时，主语和动词常倒装（主语是名词时）：
- On the hill stood an old temple.
- Here comes the bus.
- 主语是代名词时不倒装：Here it comes.（不是 Here comes it）
